Hi,

Unfortunately the detroit scene has been fizzling as far as i know on this forum.

Even our Detroit moderator has stopped logging in :(

If you find any skaters please do connect them with us!

As far as interviews, Boston isn't too far away, and its home to the top female freestyle skater in the US, as well as the only american female from the world rankings to be professionally sponsored. I'm sure Megan would love to do an interview!

For those of you grinning, yes i plan to disclose that Megan is in fact my buddy and my company is one of her sponsors :P

Hi Megan and Carlesa,

It was great seeing you both at the Open. It was a great time.

I guess the comments for Detroit's lack of activities would go for the Chicago Scene also. It's a shame because the Chicago Lake front has a lot of inline skaters.

As far as getting some video and interviews the Slalom video from the U.S. Open Inline is coming along and I'll have something available soon. Life keeps getting in the way.

We've set next years date for the U.S. Open Inline Chicago 2010 as April 23 - 25. We will have Slalom/Freestyle events along with the Free Skate and expanded speed events.

The one-and-only Naomi Grigg will be teaching a workshop in Chicago in just a couple of weeks - June 27-28. I have no idea where in Chicago, but maybe someone else does and will let you know!

I'd appreciate if someone could track this down. I can bring my camera, etc, if that is okay and try to get some stuff posted. (I'm still working on the U.S. Open). I have a pro setup. There is also video company in Chicago that is documenting various forms of roller and inline skating and would probably love to get some footage. They will be at Regionals June 19 - 24 in Romeoville, IL at the USA Skate Center and at the Nationals in Peoria, IL.

You can send an email to my AOL account: jkaplenk
